Wave

An abstract netsuke from a series of work exploring transience especially through the movement water and waves. Modelled from white earthenware the sculpture was then dissected and hollowed out re-assemble and refined with a scratched surface texture before being bisque fired. After bisque firing it was glazed and fired again. The glazed surface was then rubbed back to leave subtle surface pattern.
